James Brooks
With over 11 years golfing experience, Sheffield-born professional coach James enjoys supporting clients to achieve their goals.
In February 2016, James began working as an Assistant Professional at Beauchief Golf Club. He later transferred to Hallamshire Golf Club to develop his game. After quick progression at Hallamshire, he was hired there as an Assistant Professional in February 2018. In order to extend his knowledge and skills, James began the PGA Foundation degree in September 2018.
James spent three years at Hallamshire as a coach to people of different ages and abilities. He uses a person-centred approach with his client’s individual needs at the heart of lessons. He has a particular interest in putting and is currently in the process of becoming AimPoint certified.
In 2021, he decided to pursue a year of professional playing and took part in events across the UK on a number of tours including the 2020 Pro Tour, Jamega Tour and Clutch Pro Tour. After a year of great success, James decided to open his own studio to get back into coaching and provide specialist programmes of training to clients at Ready Golf studios.
When he’s not at the studio, James enjoys playing in professional tournaments throughout the year.
